Water Audit

Quality assurance/risk management in water supply

Handling water comes with responsibility. This is especially true for water suppliers, who must ensure that all customers receive high-quality drinking water 365 days a year. Problems should be identified as quickly as possible, rather than waiting until they become acute, so that timely and considered action can be taken. Many undesirable events are predictable, and the best course of action should these events occur can be planned calmly. The transparency of the individual processes and necessary work during normal operation is important. Regular evaluation of the qualitative analyses and presentation of the results over a number of years to identify trends is essential; after all, the quality parameters are recorded regularly and certainly not to be stored silently in a folder.

When and where were renovation works necessary, where was there pipe damage, which valves have already been checked... – all work should be traceable and transparent. This also involves costs that can skyrocket if sufficient reserves are not built up in good time. It is difficult to save money in an emergency situation; it is better to have five quotes on your desk before the damage occurs.

Sensors are only useful if they are installed in the right places. Sampling points are usually installed in locations that are convenient for installation, which is why it is sometimes important to adapt the sampling procedure to the sampling point and also to choose a representative time.

When all processes are examined, there is always potential for optimization.

Act transparently, consciously, confidently, and competently as a water supplier - we can help you. Conduct a WATER AUDIT.

How can you make your water supply transparent and manage it competently, while also ensuring the best possible quality?

The legislator and the DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water) have provided several tools to help you do this. We will conduct the audit with you and prepare all the written components. Ask us for a quote.

Don't let yourself be overwhelmed. We will guide you through the jungle. This document is intended to give you a first impression of what it is all about. The implementation must be adapted to your existing “system,” because a “water audit” is not a finished construct, but must function like a safety device when climbing. It always runs in the background without much additional effort, and if problems arise, you simply let yourself fall. It keeps you safe and the rescue service helps, or you and those responsible know what to do.
